Welcome to Full of Joy Photography

Welcome to Full of Joy Photography where our specialty is photographing Joyful people.

Lindsey Vavra owns and operates her boutique studio located in Harlingen, TX.  Lindsey's passion for the art of photography started when she had her first child.  She remembers taking her old 35mm camera and snapping away constantly to preserve that memory.  She has since studied through the New York Institute of Photography and continues to attend many workshops and seminars taught by prestigious photographers.  In 2005, Lindsey started her business out of her passion for creating art and life long memories through photography.

Lindsey is a wife and mother of two awesome little boys ages 8 and 4.  She understands deeply how important it is to capture those memories of your precious little ones before they grow and the sweetest moments have passed.  Lindsey's passion is to capture precious memories for you while providing a Joyful experience.  We promise to cherish these fleeting moments with you.

Hugs to you all!

Ben-By Lindsey Vavra/RGV Harlingen,Texas Photographer

Sweet, cute and full of life!
It was so much fun meeting Ben during a mini session with him! He is one of my new FAVES and made my job so easy!

Enjoy looking at his images and those adorable dimples, you will most likely start smiling yourself.
I wish I would have been recording his session when he decided to give the T-Rex a high five….WAY TOO CUTE.

Ben, thank you for letting me have fun with you! Hope to see you again soon!

Dimples, oh how I love the dimples!

GRRRR!!! AND DINOSAUR HIGH FIVE!!!

Kimberly’s Baby Bump-By Lindsey Vavra/RGV Harlingen,Texas Photographer

Being pregnant is one of the most beautiful miracles.  I remember when my boys first started kicking….how I wish I could go back to those moments.

I am so thankful that I had the privilege to capture Kimberly, Parker and Quinn as await the newest addition to their precious family.

The boys were CUTE,  SWEET  and crazy…just like my own, but we still managed to capture

some precious moments.

Best wishes to you Kimberly in the days to come!  I can’t wait to meet the new addition!

I love this little 3 month angle….well she is actually 4.5 months old now…that is how behind I am with updating the site.

She is as sweet as she looks and just melts my heart!  I just cannot believe she is growing so fast.

It’s All About Me-By Lindsey Vavra/RGV Harlingen,Texas Photographer

We have decided to call Senior Sessions “It’s All About Me” because your senior photo session is typically the last session you have where you  get to be the “star”.  The next stages in life typically include your loved ones: engagement, wedding, maternity and then life is all about your own children.    So, we want our seniors to know that their session is all about them and what they want to capture about themselves at the huge stage in their life!  Of course we keep our sessions “G” rated and  always get a few shots that we think mom and grandma think are just too precious.

Here are a few shots of  Morgan one of our “It’s All About Me”  2011 seniors.

She is a very sweet young lady who is a Southern Star, a great student and joy to be around!

We will post her video once we finish her session.

Summer Beach Session-By Lindsey Vavra/RGV Harlingen,Texas Photographer

Fun at the beach!

We had the privilege of  doing a session for one of my best friends mom and her grand-kiddos!  Wow, was it tricking trying to get 5 kiddos and two adults to look and smile  in one shot, but with some head swapping in photoshop we made it work.  The big kids did great, but the baby had a hard time with the sun and the sand…understandably so.

Here are a few fun ones…I will post the video soon…once I have JJ show me how do it again…I forgot.

November 22, 2015 - 11:01 pm Bryan - We have been so blessed at Trinity UMC with a safe lainndg with the appt. of our present pastor, Pastor Susan Hoyle. Thanks to our district superintendent, Rev. David Norbury for his support prayers for the interest concern of Bishop Schnase. Blessings to all you who continue to uphold God's banner during these times! I know it isn't always easy. Sincerely, Barb Rice

I know this a photography blog….but this is on my heart

Life can be very hard sometimes…and lately my sweet 2 year old has made it more of a challenge.

After a late start due to me staying with Colin at school and going to chapel with him, I sat down at Star Bucks and decided before I open photoshop I would go to one of my favorite blogs: http://proverbs31devotions.blogspot.com/ and read the devotional of the day.  Wow, did it strike a nerve.  The prayer of the day is: Dear Lord, forgive me for the times I choose condemnation over love; rudeness over kindness; or decide to do nothing rather than do the right thing. Please prompt my heart and interrupt my momentary schedule so my actions accurately reflect who You are. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Verse:“Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.” Philippians 4:5

Yikes…I often wonder about the people I trample over because I am so stressed out with Colin…what kind of example am I.   I have been guilty of being rude and short with people in public places due to me being focused on child who is screaming or running in the other direction.    Do you ever have that problem?

I am praying for grace today….I pray that I may be a reflection of God’s love no matter the situation I am in.  God is so very  good to me!

Anyhow, check out the blog…it is great!

Now I am ready to start my day…with my mind and heart focused upward.

Have a great Friday!

September 3, 2010 - 7:02 pm Jessi - ((HUGS)) Thanks for sharing that blog. You know that I'm feeling the exact same way.

September 8, 2010 - 4:08 pm Lindsey Vavra - Your great Jessi! ((HUGS)) back to you! Glad I am not alone.

We are getting back to business!

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your patience with us over the summer months.  I know there were times where I ran slower then normal.  And there where times where I was able to do a session and have it uploaded, order and in clients hands within a week of doing the session.

The summer had many challenges with the kids being home, but there where tons of blessings.

We also had a series of bad events: the worst being  loss JJ’s dad just a couple of weeks ago, which is TERRIBLE, but we know that he is in a much better place  and no longer suffering.

As a mommy I am some what sad to see summer come to a end, but as a professional photographer I am so excited for  fall  and the craziness that it brings for our business.  Yes, the Christmas rush is just starting and SO much fun!  I’m so ready to do more of  the creative work that I love!!!!!

This week I will being tying up all the lose ends from the summer sessions and posting the work that I have permission to make public, so come back and visit soon!

Thank you all for your love and support!  Look forward to seeing you soon!
